This'll let you choose between 720p (high), 540p(standard) or 360p (low). Activate Remote Play: Settings> Remote Play connection settings. On a Mac it's a little different and you have to head into the 'PS4 Remote Play menu in the top left bar and then go into the preferences section. In Windows you can go to the settings menu on the PS4 Remote Play start screen to switch between them. I will say that I've been playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate quite happily on a 8Mbps wireless connection however and there haven't been any hiccups.Īs an aside, to match your connection speeds, you can change the resolution and frame rate from within each app. It also recommends a wired connection for both your PS4 and your computer. Of course, everything is speed dependent and Sony does advise a minimum of 5Mbps for your PS4 to stay stable. But the solution, although not clear at first, is relatively easy: you need to change streaming quality settings before starting your PS4 Remote Play stream. In fact, when we first launched the PS4 Remote Play app for OS X this morning, we were dismayed at the low image quality and, worse, the apparent lack of ability to change the settings, despite statements by Sony to the contrary.
